Be there when Leipziger Neuseenland is transformed into a true hiking Eldorado again from May 8-10, 2026!
For the 22nd time, Leipziger Neuseenland will be the stage for the largest hiking event in eastern Germany at the beginning of May - the 7 Lakes Hike. From 8-10 May 2026, the three-day event invites all hiking enthusiasts to discover the region on more than 70 varied tours, including around 30 unguided routes for individual hiking pleasure.
Among the highlights in 2026 are once again the two great long-distance hiking classics over 100 kilometers: the "Neuseenland XXL" and the "Dreiländerour XXL". However, numerous shorter tours also offer plenty of variety - whether alone, with family or friends. The program is supplemented by children's and family hikes, health tours and themed tours that focus on the history and culture of Leipzig's New Lakeland.
Up to 6,000 participants from all over Germany are expected at the beginning of May when the motto is #WirSeenUns. What makes the 7 Lakes Hike so special? Its unmistakable character - familiar in atmosphere, regional at heart and unique in experience. Because despite its size, it remains true to itself: with Saxon warmth, loving organization and the close involvement of regional partners, the shared experience of nature, landscape and culture becomes an event that connects, inspires and will be remembered far beyond the weekend.
