The circular trail, named after a potato dish and equipped with information boards, offers a journey through 800 years of time, where nature and history lovers will get their money's worth.

The Klitscherweg owes its name to the Saxon dessert similar to quark dumplings baked in linseed oil, which was brought to Weißig by miners from Johanngeorgenstadt in 1821. Made from jacket potatoes, quark, flour, egg, sugar and salt, Klitscher was a tasty, inexpensive meal.

In addition to magnificent views of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains and the ranges of hills of the Ostererzgebirge and the romantic Breiter Grund, the tour is characterized by 43 large information boards that line the route, especially in the local area. The signs, which are also equipped with a code that can be used by the visually impaired, provide an insight into the development of Wizoch, which was first mentioned in 1235. The journey through time provides information about the districts of Oberweißig and Unterweißig, which were characterized by agriculture and mining. There are stories about tradespeople, craftsmen, farmers, miners, local politicians, outstanding sportsmen and clubs who helped shape the town.
