Village walk through Kössern, to Förstgen and to the Thümmlitzsee.
Kössern lies in the center of the region with the most castles in Germany. Significant architects created outstanding monuments, including the baroque hunting lodge and the manor house. It was the hunting passion of the Saxon high nobility that brought splendor and brilliance to the fertile area. There are also 45 uniform artisan houses as well as gardens and forests. There is still lively activity; over 40 cultural events attract people to the halls. And those who want more exercise can choose between a route on the Mulde bike path, a boat trip on the Mulde, or a swim in the bathing lake. Hikers get to know the Geopark Porphyrland on the "Path of Stones".
