On this somewhat more demanding route of about 40 km, the Spreeradweg connects with the railway bike path into the Cunewalder Valley. Wooded and hilly, it goes over the Czorneboh with magnificent panoramic views back to Bautzen.

From Bautzen, initially use the scenically attractive Spreeradweg to Eulowitz, passing rock valleys, mills, and catering options.

A detour to Doberschau to the prehistoric rampart, the "Doberschauer Schanze," is worthwhile, and the Bohemian Bridge on the old trade route Bautzen-Prague is also worth a photo. Further upstream of the Spree follow Großpostwitz and Eulowitz, where you use the bike path on the B 96 for a bit before turning to the former now paved railway line to Cunewalde. The almost 15 km long village is well experienced on the railway bike path, and a stop in the half-timbered house park, which is right next to Germany's largest village church, is worthwhile. In the district Klipphausen begins the ascent to the Czorneboh (Sorbically misinterpreted as "Black God").

After strengthening at the mountain inn and climbing the mountain observation tower from 1850, it goes north down toward Bautzen via Wuischke, Rachlau, and Mehltheuer. Here in May 1813, a significant part of the Napoleon battle at Bautzen took place. More about it can be seen at the Bautzen Museum.
