From Dittersdorf station, walk about 250 m along Bahnhofsstraße northeast (towards Einsiedel) and then turn slightly right into Schwarzen Weg. Follow the path until you reach the intersection by the ski jumping hill. Here turn sharp right and follow the signage Rundweg Dittersdorf. The path leads steeply uphill through the forest. At the fork at the meadow, keep left and shortly after reach the upper end of the Dittersdorfer ski lift. Follow the path through the forest to the intersection. Here turn right and after a steep climb reach the open land. Go right and shortly thereafter at the signpost turn left toward Dittersdorfer Höhe. After about 1.2 km, you reach one of the most striking viewpoints of the Ore Mountains with an impressive panoramic view. Here is also a station of the Royal Saxon Triangulation built in 1869. Directly below the plateau is the Dittersdorfer Höhe country inn, which you reach via a narrow path after a few meters. Then return along the path and follow the green marking. At the signpost, go left toward Weißbach and continue straight on the path (Filialweg). You walk downhill and see the Dittersdorf outdoor pool on the right, where you can take a refreshing detour. At the primary school, you reach Dittersdorfer Straße. Here go left and shortly after right into Filialweg. Follow this slightly uphill to Chemnitzer Straße (B 180). Turn right and go to the inn Zur Linde. From here, follow until the starting point the “Rundweg Dittersdorf”. Behind the beautiful half-timbered house, turn right onto Kemtauer Weg. In the forest, you pass the small settlement “Kalkofen”, here keep left. You reach a meadow and continue to follow the signage “Rundweg Dittersdorf”. The path leads downhill back into the valley. At the crossroads “Am weißen Stein”, turn sharp right and immediately left again. The path takes you past Burgstein, which offers a charming view of the Zwönitz valley. Watch for the signpost by the edge. After about 300 m you reach B 180, cross it and turn left into Zwönitztalstraße. You cross the railway line and reach the district Kamerun, situated in an idyllic river bend of the Zwönitz. Across the yard and the Zwönitz bridge, you get onto Zwönitztalweg. At the rest area, turn right and follow the shady Zwönitztalweg, which is accompanied by a nature trail. After just under 3 km you return to the starting point. Along the way, you also pass Eulenbrunnen and near the station the Bärenbrunnen.
