Trail 5 is the only one that is also suitable for skating and leads through the Schöneck woods in the Meiler area.
Skating is sometimes possible on this trail. Like all cross-country trails, it starts at the Schöneck roundabout. From here it leads in the direction of "Hotel Tannenhaus" and turns right before the Meilerteiche. A little further we turn left and then follow the further course through the Schönecker forests back to the starting point.

Ski equipment can be rented at the sports point.
In Schöneck, follow the signs to Parkhaus, Skiwelt, IFA Ferienpark. Shortly before the roundabout you will see the trail entrance on the left.
Park comfortably in the multi-storey car park, which is only a few steps away from the trail entrance.
Take the Vogtlandbahn to the IFA Ferienpark stop. There is a hiking and trail house in which there are changing rooms, sprinting, showers and toilets. The entrance to the cross-country ski trail is approx. 200 m to the left of the stop. With the bus line 90 from Oelsnitz, Plauen, line 93 from Bad Elster or line 22 from Morgenröthe-Rautenkranz, you can use the stop at the IFA holiday park and go straight to the cross-country ski trail get in.
