A true connoisseur's route through the vineyards of the Elbe region! By bike, you'll visit the many winemakers, rustic wine taverns, and seasonal wine bars in Radebeul, Coswig, Diesbar-Seußlitz, and Meißen.
The route offers access to countless winemakers on the right bank of the Elbe between Radebeul and Diesbar-Seußlitz. At every corner, seasonal wine bars and vineyards invite you to stop by. Through the wine-loving town of Meißen, the Elbe Cycle Path then leads back to Radebeul.

The bike route starts directly at the Karl May Museum in Radebeul, which is easily accessible via the Elbe Cycle Path. We cross the main street and head straight to the Wine Hiking Trail, reaching the first wineries in Oberlößnitz. The wineries "Drei Herren", "Ulf Große", "Karl Friedrich Aust", and "Hoflößnitz" lie right along the route.
We take a short detour to the "Golden Wagon" - here the well-known Spitzhaus staircase leads through the vineyard slopes. Those who take the path on foot up the stairs are rewarded with a magnificent view. Above the rooftops of Radebeul, we also admire the Bismarck Tower, designed by Wilhelm Kreis and inaugurated in 1907 by the Kötzschenbroda master builder Alfred Große.
The bike route then continues above the city along the slopes. A visit to the famous "State Winery Schloss Wackerbarth" is a must.
On the onward journey, we pass the "Matyas" winery in the next town of Coswig before continuing via Weinböhla and Niederau. Then it’s time to cover distance through the northern Elbe towns before we head back towards the Elbe and finally arrive at the beautiful castle in Diesbar-Seußlitz. From there, we ride the Elbe Cycle Path, passing towns with wineries such as "Jan Ulrich", "Weingut Lehmann", and many others.
In Meißen, we admire the castle hill and continue along the Elbe Cycle Path. In Sörnewitz, just after the distinctive Boselspitze, there are more wineries, such as the "Weingut Schuh", now run by the younger generation of the winemaker family. It’s worth stopping here as well. Then the route continues along the Elbe Cycle Path towards Radebeul and thus back to the starting point of the wine route by bike.
