Klingenthal train station
The start of the route is the Klingenthal train station. Shortly after Klingenthal, head south around the 776m high Gemeinberg via Erlbach towards Markneukirchen. Small side roads lead us through Schönlind towards Bad Brambach and further to the Czech border. In Voitersreuth (CZ) we turn right towards Haslau and briefly follow the B64, which we leave again about 1.5 km after the village to the right towards Rommersreuth, Steingrün, and Himmelreich. Via Nassengrub, we reach Asch. Heading towards the German-Czech border and following it for a few kilometers, we reach the Franconian town of Rehau. We take smaller roads north towards the B15 and then reach Klötzlamühle and Regnitzlosau. In Regnitzlosau, we turn left towards Gattendorf and cross the A93. We arrive at Gattendorf, Gumpertsreuth, Trogen, and Feilitzsch. In Feilitzsch, we turn right towards Unterhartmannsreuth and pass the A72. Afterwards, we come to Münchenreuth and finally to the well-known border town of Mödlareuth. Here, we keep right towards Gebersreuth and Haidefeld, where we keep right on the B287 until Mißlareuth. In Mißlareuth, we again turn right towards Grobau. The road takes us over Gutenfürst, crossing the A72, to Heinersgrün and Zettlarsgrün. Via Bobenneukirchen, we reach Burkhardtsgrün and pass Posseck, Tiefenbrunn. On the S309, we reach Bergen, Freiberg, and the B92, on which we turn left towards Oelsnitz for about 200 meters and then again right towards Leubetha, straight towards Saalig in the direction of Schöneck. In town, we keep right towards Klingenthal but then take the second exit at the roundabout towards Zwota and reach the starting point Klingenthal along the small Zwota brook.
