From the perspective of our Upper Lusatian Highlands, the path begins in the Sundial Village of Taubenheim, one of the three districts of the municipality of Sohland. The starting point is the commemorative stone "666 years of Taubenheim," which can be found at the bus turning point Am Bahnhof. The railway crossing a few meters away is crossed and the Neutaubenheimer Straße is followed into the forest area. The hiking trail is marked with a green stripe and then changes to a red stripe. After a few meters, the border is crossed and the same path continues through the settlements Kralovka (Königshain) and Harrachov (Harrachstal). Shortly before reaching the connecting road Sohland – Sluknov, the hiker turns left onto the bicycle path marked with number 3043. Just before the water body, the street Zeyerova is taken to the right and the railway line is crossed. Turning left and then right again, the castle park with the rebuilt castle is reached. In the immediate vicinity are the Trinity column on the Schluckenau market square, which is the starting point for the circular hiking trail for visitors from the Czech side. The large St. Wenceslas Church with the inhabited parsonage next to it already marks the return route. Now the road downhill towards Germany is followed. Here you are already on the Blue Stripe path. On this path, deviating from the road, you hike along the wild bubbling Rosenbach and especially enjoy the sounds of the water. The district Rozany (Rosenhain) with its small chapel is crossed up to the old mill, the brook is crossed and on the other side a short stretch is walked along the connecting road between the Czech Republic and Saxony. Soon the closely linked linden trees should not be overlooked, even though the house behind them was unfortunately completely destroyed by fire.
On the left side of the road is one of several gas stations and a sign pointing towards Kralovka. Here, the adventurous turn left and immediately immerse themselves again in the silence of the small settlement. This group of houses to be circled on the left was already spotted on the way there and soon the red stripe path is underfoot again, crossing the border. Shortly after the border, the red stripe path is left and turning left a bit of the green stripe is followed. Now you continue straight on the paved road and soon have the town of Taubenheim in front of you again. Shortly before the Dresden – Zittau railway line, turn right into Straße am Bahndamm and continue left over the railway tracks back to the starting point. Nearby or along the way, restaurants invite you to linger and refresh yourself.
