Scenic hike through the mining landscape of Pöhlberg
Up high it goes to our 832m high local mountain, situated in the middle of the UNESCO World Heritage Montanregion Erzgebirge/Krušnohoří.
On the eastern side of the Pöhlberg, in the middle of a rural-developed area, there is a mining area documented since the 15th century. After the introduction of the Saiger process, silver could be extracted from the copper ore mined here in the Saigerhütte Grünthal.
