The 130 km long Heidebogen circular route connects the three major landscapes of the Dresden Heath Bow: the Großenhainer Pflege, the western Upper Lusatia, and the Königsbrück Heath.

This route offers a comprehensive insight into the diverse natural and cultural landscapes of the region on the outskirts of Dresden and leads through a mix of picturesque forests, historical buildings, and appealing natural areas.

Along its path, the route crosses numerous large and small towns with interesting stops.

The start and finish is the market in Königsbrück. From January to April, the camellia show attracts visitors in the castle. Furthermore, the architectural model of the Via Regia and the Military History Museum are worthwhile places to visit.

Lautsnitz offers a Nordic walking park and the Samendarre Museum, and in Zschorna the traditional pond farming can be explored. Those seeking cooling in summer will find a great bathing spot with natural camping and snack bar at the Brettmühlenteich.

Other stops include the castle and park in Lauterbach, the church in Reinersdorf with the grave of Georg von Kommerstädt, and the Schönfeld dream castle, which is also worth a stop.

Schwepnitz attracts those interested in history with a GDR museum. In the following Gersdorf stands the birthplace of Karoline Rietschel, while in Häslich the four-sided farm presents a historical picture of the region and invites a visit to rural life from the 18th to 20th centuries.

Bischheim offers opportunities for rest and regional history discovery with its park, Bad Bischheim, and the culture mill.

The Heidebogen circular route can be ridden in several stages or shortened at various points, offering flexibility for different ride lengths and exciting discoveries along the entire route.
