Route (circular hike):

From the parking lot at Gasthaus Fuchsbau, we walk uphill on the Heuweg to the edge of the forest. The Heuweg later leads through the beech forest to the Hörneltanne, on the clearing path we reach the Alte Poststraße. We follow this road towards Pfaffroda. Shortly after the Geißelbachwiese, it goes towards Schafhübel. Halfway after the highest point, we turn left onto the old Hainweg.

We encounter the B 171 at the fish ponds. Before that, we turn onto the Ölmühlenbergweg. This hillside path leads us back to the starting point.
