Challenging gravel route in the Vogtland Music Corner
This approx. 48 km long gravel tour connects the music towns Klingenthal and Markneukirchen and takes you through a breathtaking mix of deep forests, gentle hills, and babbling streams. Start in Klingenthal and dive right into the tradition of musical instrument making. From Zwota, well-maintained gravel paths steadily wind uphill past the picturesque Hüttenbachteich ponds. After a steep climb, you reach the Wegespinne shelter in the forest, a perfect spot to catch your breath. Then continue quickly downhill into the valley of the Landesgemeinde and to the Hinterer Floßteich – a real natural highlight. After a short detour to the idyllic Erlbach, the route leads you over Wernitzgrün and the Oberer Berg to Markneukirchen. Enjoy the last kilometers back to Klingenthal over quiet country roads and through charming villages with magnificent views. This tour is a perfect mix of flow, challenge, and nature experience.
