The bike route starts at the Rose Garden directly on the Elbe Cycle Route in Dresden. From here, we cross Bautzner Street and ride through the most colorful district of the city, the Dresden Neustadt.
After just a few minutes, we enter the Prießnitz Valley in the Dresden Heath. Along the river, we cycle through the beautiful forest landscape. One highlight is reached in the north of the Heath: the Dresden Heath Climbing Forest. Especially for children from 6 years old, a stop at the high ropes course between April and October is worthwhile. Afterwards, the route leads after a climb to the open area in the middle of the Heath - the Hofewiese. Here, not only the horses invite you to pet them, but the guesthouse is also a popular destination and invites you to refresh yourself.
The route then heads east and finally back towards the city. Shortly before the end, we reach another highlight: the wildlife enclosure in Albert Park with an adjoining adventure playground. Here lives a herd of fallow deer and mouflons, which are exciting to observe. The forest playground is also worthwhile. Various play equipment, huts, and houses invite discovery. The rest of the route follows the Elbe back to the starting point at the Rose Garden.
