Route 2 has a total length of 46 km. Highlights of the route are also the numerous farm gardens, a total of 16 along the way.
The path first takes you along the Sprotte Water Experience Trail towards Nöbdenitz, before turning south towards the German Agricultural Museum in Blankenhain. In Seelingstädt and Gauern, two gardens each can be admired in close proximity. With their biodiversity and colorful design, they were and still are an expression of a regional tradition and the self-confidence of their owners. The spectrum ranges from medicinal plant and herb gardens to orchards as well as rose, dahlia, and iris gardens. On this route, you can also experience idyllic villages and get to know and enjoy the traditional cuisine of East Thuringia and West Saxony.
