After the stay in Gera, the cultural route leads northwards – initially to the church in Tinz – and then on to the district of Langenberg.
Here, in the church "To the Fourteen Holy Helpers," we are greeted by a winged altar dating from 1491.
Further on along the White Elster river to Bad Köstritz with its historic town centre, the castle park from the Reuß era, and the brewery. A detour is worthwhile to the neighbouring Bad Klosterlausnitz. Here, at the site of the former Augustinian nuns' monastery, the church was rebuilt in the neo-Romanesque style between 1863 and 1866. The triumphal cross in the impressive interior dates from around 1235. Now it continues in a wide arc around Gera to discover interesting churches in Münchenbernsdorf, Taubenpreskeln and Gera-Lusan.
