Hike over Bärenfels and Schellerhau to Altenberg.
The start is at Kipsdorf train station. At the traffic light intersection turn right onto Max-Reimann-Straße towards Oberkipsdorf and continue to Alte Böhmische Straße. Now turn left and follow the signs (yellow stripe) to Bärenfels for about 0.6 km. Then go straight towards Hofehübel to the Bärenfels forestry office. Now walk along the road to Schellerhau past the Bärenfels inn to the Meißner carillon. Now take the small hiking path to Matthäusweg. Follow it to Schellerhau church. On the footpath, continue along the main road towards Altenberg. At the last house in Schellerhau, turn right onto Clearing 28 and continue to the crossroads. Now turn left and along the side wing to Clearing 31. Continue about 400 m to the right to Neugraben, here turn left and walk to the large Galgenteich. Follow the path below the dam crest further to the campsite. Continue straight ahead along Schellerhauer Way to Altenberg train station.
