Winter hike from Cranzahl train station to the reservoir. Follow the path once around the snow-covered reservoir and back to the starting point.
The route begins at the station and leads to Reservoir Street. Along Reservoir Street, you hike to the dam. On this path, you can see all the way to Annaberg in good visibility. Strong winds can cause heavy drifting. Continue over the dam. From the dam crest, there are wide views of the iced-over water surface and the wintry Bärenstein. On Klappermühlenweg, you continue on the eastern side of the reservoir to the intersection with Torfstraße. From there, return via Torfstraße to Reservoir Street and downhill back to the starting point at the station.
