Winemaker Walter Beck’s home is an idyllic gem, nestled among vineyards and featuring its own winery. It is a former greenhouse, located right next to the sports field in Nieschütz.
Here, on 0.2 hectares of vineyards, the Chardonnay and Auxerrois grape varieties thrive. In addition, he has 0.4 hectares of inherited vineyards in Baden-Baden.
For many years, Walter Beck served as the external operations manager for the Schloss Proschwitz winery. Now retired, the winemaker grows and produces his own wine as a side business. His focus is on sparkling wine production, which he began in 2022.
