Football fans from all over the world, get ready for the UEFA EURO 2024™ and the 4 matches in the host city Leipzig.
Leipzig has been closely associated with sport for centuries, both at grassroots and elite level. The city is known for its hospitality and is a popular venue for major international events. This year, Leipzig will be one of the 10 Host Cities of the UEFA EURO 2024™. A total of 4 matches will take place in Leipzig.
During the group stage, on 18 June 2024 Portugal will face the Czech Republic, on21 June 2026 the Netherlands will play France and Croatia will take on Italy on 24 June 2024. On 2 July 2024, the winner of Group D and the runner-up of Group F will then meet in a round of 16 match.
Be there when the round has to go into the square again and the whole of Leipzig is engulfed in football fever. The Fan Zone Augustusplatz will be the central meeting point for football fans and visitors in Leipzig during EURO 2024™, with live broadcasts of all 51 matches on large screens and space for up to 15,000 fans. In addition to the matches of the German national team and other matches, the zone will offer a colourful programme of sport, culture and entertainment.
