The cultural and festival city of Bad Elster presents the "Happiness of Hope in the Elster Valley" as the Chursächsisches Frühlingszauber (Spring Magic of Saxony) to kick off the season in the blossoming Royal Gardens of the spa. The fourth edition of the enchanting spring festival will take place from March 14 to April 27, 2025 and, in addition to numerous first-class cultural and theatrical events on the "festival mile of short distances", will offer a moving ArtFest weekend in the Capital of Culture region (11.-13.04.) and royal Easter holidays around the decorated Easter fountain (17.04.-21.04.).
The historic King Albert Theater is the center of the cultural spring growth. Highlights here include Goethe's classic play "Faust" (15.03.), the operetta classic "Die Fledermaus" (28.03.) and an operetta gala (05.04.) for the Johann Strauss Year 2025, a symphony concert with the choir of the Frauenkirche Dresden for the 17th Frauenkirchentag in Bad Elster (12.04.) and the musical experiences "Avanti! Avanti!" with Stefanie Hertel (April 19) and "Cabaret" on April 25. But numerous stars also flourish on Bad Elster's stage: guests from near and far can look forward to an evening of Loriot by Christine Sommer & Martin Brambach (30.03.), "Jedermann" by star actor Philipp Hochmair (13.04.), the top brass band Harmonic Brass (29.03.), the harpist Silke Aichhorn (02.04.), the world star violist Nils Mönkemeyer (17.04.) or a Schumann evening by Ragna Schirmer & Dominique Horwitz (27.04.). Bad Elster also has a rock'n'roll show (22.03.), a bird wedding family musical (06.04.), an Easter hit night with Stefan Mross (20.04.) and light-hearted cabaret evenings with Heinz Klever (16.03.) and Christine Schütze (26.04.), enchanting experiences for a spring break.
