A week before the start of rafting, recreational athletes can already get active at the canoe park: The XXL Paddle Festival from May 9 to 11 is all about canoeing. Numerous workshops, various trial offers, test drives with test boats, guided canoe tours and technical courses are planned for the eleventh edition of the event under the motto "Test.Paddle.Experience". At the expo, well-known manufacturers will present their new products and well-stocked canoe dealers will offer a wide range of paddling and outdoor equipment.
The cross race in kayaks for recreational paddlers will be a highlight of the festival on Saturday, May 10, from 8.30 pm. The kayak outfitter Prijon will provide valuable prizes for the first to third place winners of the cross race. In addition, a whitewater kayak will be raffled off as the main prize among all participants. Only hobby paddlers with whitewater experience can take part in the recreational event. The entry fee is 10 or 30 euros. The kayak cross race promises both participants and spectators an exciting evening: on the exclusively redesigned competition channel, the kayakers have to prevail against the other starters in several head-to-head races - only the first two boats qualify for the next round. Close decisions are guaranteed!
